Meet the Photographer
Hej! My name is Iulia Calin Dickens
Since I was a child, I have seen the world through a photographer’s eye. Photography has taught me to slow down, notice the details, and find beauty in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
I fell in love with capturing the quiet, fleeting moments that make life feel real - the light, the textures, the people, the places, and everything in between. For me, photography is a way of being present, of experiencing life more deeply, and preserving the feeling of a moment before it passes.
That is how I want to live: noticing, experiencing and capturing life as it unfolds - and sharing that way of seeing with others.
Experience
I have been photographing for almost 15 years, and what began as a personal passion has grown into both my profession and my way of seeing the world. I studied photography at Fotoskolan STHLM in Stockholm and at Sörängens Folkhögskola in Nässjö, where I developed a strong foundation in photography, visual storytelling and creative communication.
Through both education and hands-on experience, I have built a broad skill set within photography, videography and post-production. I’m comfortable working in a variety of environments - from documentary and natural light settings to more planned productions - always with a focus on atmosphere, authenticity and meaningful visual details.
Born and raised in Sweden, I’m now based in Umeå - a place close to nature, light and seasons that continue to inspire my work. I’m available for photography assignments in Sweden and worldwide.
